ITC Membership Categories, Requirements, and Expectations
ITC Membership (4-year commitment; 50 members maximum)
Requirements:
• Evidence of participation in research including publications involving transporters and drug development
• Evidence of participation in ITC activities such as drafting and reviewing ITC white papers
• Attendance at transporter workshops, meetings and/or symposia
Expectations:
• Active participation in ITC Zoom meetings
• Participation in planning scientific sessions/symposia and other organizational activities, disseminating ITC updates, contributing to ITC white papers, reviewing ITC endorsed publications and white papers
Early Career Membership (2-year commitment; 10 members maximum)
Members within 10 years of most recent doctoral/postdoctoral training; Postdoctoral Scholars
Requirements:
• Evidence of participation in research (including publications and/or abstracts) involving transporters and drug development
• Attendance at transporter workshops, meetings, and/or symposia
• Recommendation from advisor or ITC member
Expectations:
• Participation in planning scientific sessions/symposia and other organizational activities, disseminating ITC updates via social media, website content generation, contributing to ITC white papers
Emeritus Membership
• Prior ITC members who serve in an advisory role to the ITC
Former ITC Members
• Former ITC members who are no longer involved in the ITC

How to apply for ITC membership (Early 2025)
ITC Membership Process:
- Interested individuals are invited to submit application materials to the ITC Steering Committee via Dr. Noora Sjöstedt by January 31, 2025.
- Please provide the following documents in the order listed below as a single PDF document named as LastName.FirstName_Full_01.XX.2025
- Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae (no more than 5 pages) highlighting relevant publications
- Letter of Interest describing scientific background, including participation in transporter and drug development research, service to professional organizations, and contributions to the ITC
- Applications will be reviewed biannually by the ITC Steering Committee, which will make decisions regarding membership
- ITC members serve for a term of four years, which is renewable
Early Career Membership Process:
- Interested individuals are invited to submit application materials to the ITC Steering Committee via Dr. Noora Sjöstedt by January 31, 2025.
- Please provide the following documents in the order listed below as a single PDF document named as LastName.FirstName_Early_01.XX.2025
- Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae (no more than 5 pages) highlighting relevant publications and/or abstracts
- Letter of Interest describing scientific background, including participation in transporter and drug development research, service to professional organizations, and specific areas where the applicant would like to contribute to the ITC
- Recommendation letter from PhD advisor/supervisor or ITC member
- Applications will be reviewed biannually by the ITC Steering Committee, which will make decisions regarding membership
- Early career members serve for a term of two years, which is renewable
